Katrin Coetzer n 1 a 2007 visual communication design graduate from Stellenbosch University 2 returning to her parents' house in Cape Town to clear out 22 years' worth of accumulated junk 3 specialising in illustration and graphic design, and hoping to make a living from just that, but prepared to settle for taking people on birding safaris 4 feeling the need to further studies in Germany and travel across Africa, west to east, before gratefully settling down in Cape Town 5 not related to Toast [See: katrincoetzer@gmail.com]
Toast Coetzer n 1 a writer and photographer who currently works for the travel magazines Go! and WEG, which has afforded him passage to the mud mosques of Mali, intimate encounters with the wondrous poo of Ugandan mountain gorillas and access to free rusks thanks to a particularly keen tannie in the Free State town of Reitz 2 "after-hours" activities including being the vocalist in the Buckfever Underground, whose latest album, The Buckfever Underground SAVES, was rated one of the best albums of 2007 by GQ, Die Beeld, 24.com, isolation.tv and The Weekender 3 co-editor of the bilingual - sometimes trilingual - culture zine Ons Klyntji, which appears once or twice a year as cash and time allows 4 currently writing a travel guide to Cape Town, in collaboration with photographer Samantha Reinders, to be published by Sunbird Publishers in 2009 [See: www.toastcoetzer.com and www.thebuckfeverunderground.com]

Chimurenga v 1 a pan-African publication of writing, art and politics, which has been in print since March 2002 and appears in print three times a year, online monthly and through themed performances called Chimurenga Sessions 2 founded by editor Ntone Edjabe 3 intellectual project that has snaked from a Miltonian swamp of murky morality and "paradigms lost", if not into a Garden of Eden, at least into a more lucid landscape where intellect, integrity and humanity are valid tools for growth 4 flowering organic schools of thought grown in backyard gardens, tilled and fertilised by the fundamentals of humanity preached, and sometimes practiced 5 Fela Kuti says, simply: "Who no know go know" [Origin: François Naudé, Stacy Hardy and Chimurenga.
