Waste Paper

Cellulose fibres from recycled paper and cardboard are transformed into sustainable wall cladding.

FRONT® in collaboration with Alted Materials, have launched Paper Waste Panels, transforming cellulose fibres from recycled paper and cardboard into attractive, sustainable wall cladding. These fibres, which degrade after multiple recycling cycles of waste paper, often end up in landfills. However, Paper Waste Panels give them a second life, using a circular production process to create durable, non-toxic, and recyclable boards. This innovation diverts substantial paper waste from landfills, supporting eco-friendly architecture and interior design, with every 100 square meters of panels upcycling 722 kg of paper waste.

The Paper Waste Panels have been launched as collection of eco-friendly, decorative wall cladding designed for use in interior spaces. The 600x600 mm panels come in customizable colours and patterns, allowing for sustainable design practices without compromising on durability, aesthetics and functionality. Suitable for multiple interior spaces like retail, hospitality, and commercial interiors, the panels provide sound absorption, improved air quality, and are certified A+ for non-toxicity. Additionally, their demountable design supports adaptability, allowing reuse to meet evolving design needs.

Paper Waste Panels highlight how materials often seen as waste can be repurposed into sustainable, aesthetically appealing, and high-performance design elements. This approach reduces environmental impact and promotes circular design while offering functional solutions that align with modern sustainability goals.
