Urban origami

Spanish street artist Nuria Mora creates large and colourful origami pieces for urban spaces.

Nuria Mora is a Spanish street artist. She created gorgeously colourful origami pieces to display in public spaces.

The origami designs pictured here are what Mora did for ad spaces in the Tirso de Molina square in Madrid, Spain.

The 3D paper sculptures find a home on the billboards in city centres. Mora’s creations can be viewed from either side and all light up at night.

In 2010 Mora visited Johannesburg where she painted large, solid, angular murals.

Mora’s street art has also been seen on the streets of Cairo, Madrid, Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, Tokyo and Paris.
