Architecture ZA sees some of the world's leading architects and cultural producers in discussion about sustainability, urban public spaces.

Architecture ZA 2010, an event said to be Africa’s premier urban culture festival, is currently on in Johannesburg’s Newtown precinct and will run until 27 September 2010.

Bringing together cutting edge thought-leaders and multi-disciplinary practitioners from around the globe, it will feature 100 local and 12 international architects and cultural producers.

Festival highlights include Spanish architect Fernando Menis and local heavyweights Peter Rich and Andrew Makin. Discussions and master classes will take place around topics ranging from “Reimagining the city” to “Post-event city”, sustainability, urban public space and city infrastructure.

Activities like city walking tours, live music, drama performances, photography and architecture exhibitions ad the Architect Africa Film Festival aims to encourage public interest and participation.
