Something to chew on

The Toffie Pop Culture Festival, in Cape Town from 24 to 26 March 2011, celebrates all that is pop about culture.

The brainchild of Peet Pienaar of The President, the Toffie Pop Culture Festival takes place at the Cape Town City Hall from 24 to 26 March 2011. Characterised by diversity and collaborations, the festival is a unique mish-mash of the best in pop culture from around the world.

Speakers at Toffie include Spanish graphic designer Alex Trochut, Japanese digital artist and programmer Daito Manabe, Argentinian animator Javier Lourenco, Swiss technology designer Jürg Lehni and Belgian illustrator Brecht Vandenbroucke. In breaking news, Jonathan Puckey was also added to the line-up just this week. A cast of South African creatives complete the conference line-up.

For those not wishing to attend the full conference, there are also tickets available for the hands-on workshops, market and exhibitions, the party in collaboration with Don't Party, and the concert featuring Tumi Molekane in collaboration with the Cape Philharmonic Orchestra.
