The Scribblings of a Madcap Shambleton is an off-beat kind of title for off-beat kind of book by a funny guy.
Better known as a comedian and TV personality, Noel Fielding has another creative passion that he reveals something of in this fun(ny) book.
In addition to showcasing Fielding’s gorgeous artworks, the book also incorporates more than a dash of humour making it a visual feast, but also a funny visual feast.
With something of a surreal outlook on life, The Scribblings of a Madcap Shambleton is influenced by the creative output of the likes of Henri Rousseau, Roy Lichtenstein and Salvador Dali.
Fielding is best known for his television appearances with The Mighty Boosh and Never Mind the Buzzcocks.
Described by one critic as “off-beat, pop-art picture [that] are seriously commercial”, Fielding’s work will be familiar to his fans, especially his depiction of talking crocodiles, Mick Jagger and disturbing fox-men.
