Italian designer Marco Goffi’s Gala concept shoe explores the complex field of footwear design.
The Gala is a soft and fluid ribbon that wraps around the foot. The main structure of the “shoe” can be likened to a bridge that connects the toe to the heel, which gives a contemporary platform to the foot’s arch. Here the Gala is also like an “unwound ribbon, which during its development manages to connect the two most stressed part of the foot, where the soft pads, necessary to improve comfort and wearability, have been positioned beneath the leather finish."
The Gala concept shoe won a Red Dot Design Concept award in Singapore this year.
