The latest editorial for contemporary women's wear brand Rayo serves as a stunning form of self-expression for Nigerian designer Lamipo Somoye. Since her 2014 debut at Lagos Fashion & Design Week as a GTBank Lagos Fashion Focus finalist, Somoye’s loose fabrics and subtly sophisticated garments have earned her fans around the world, and the new campaign is a visual celebration of her ever evolving brand.

Shot in Lagos by photographer Clement Ogoh and art directed and styled by Daniel Obasi (the two are frequent collaborators whose work often challenges binary notions of gender) the editorial features models Daberechi Ukoha-Kalu and Ifeoma Nwobu and draws on various elements of Somoye’s aesthetic.

While it’s oddly titled ‘Nothing’, the campaign’s visuals are a beautiful reflection of the designers many influences, including African aesthetics, culture and contemporary dance.
