Creativity is often about being “hands-on” but online artist Ze Frank has devised an innovative “hands-free” approach to illustrations.
“Voice Drawing” is his Flash web app that lets the users draw using their voice. To use the app you need an active or built-in microphone. Other than that you simply use your voice, or other forms of sound like music, to manipulate and control the movements of the “line” on the canvas.
Basically this “line” then responds to the level of volume being exerted by your voice. A low volume makes it move counter-clockwise while a medium tone makes it straight and high volumes makes the line move clockwise.
It’s fun, and simple enough. So now instead of singing to your loved one you can do an illustration with your voice. It’s almost romantic.
