Grooming young fashion talent

Design Indaba Expo 2010: The Elizabeth Galloway Academy of Fashion Design will highlight the work of Tarien Malherbe and Elmé Bekker.

When the founders of Elizabeth Galloway Academy of Fashion Design in South Africa saw the need for guidance for emerging designers, they decided to develop a "finishing" programme for promising graduates. Three years on, the programme includes three designers who supply boutiques in Stellenbosch and Cape Town with original fashion creations.

One of their particular success stories, is the Non-European clothing label pioneered by Tarien Malherbe in 2008. The label has gone on to participate in a variety of fashion marketing platforms such as Audi Jo’burg Fashion Week and the ELLE new Talent Fashion Show.

Elizabeth Galloway will be exhibiting the latest product ranges at Design Indaba Expo 2010 with focus on Non-European and Elmé Bekker, a 2009 ELLE New Talent Finalist.
