A good sport

Runner-up in the social impact category of the Core77 Design Awards student category is CrossTrainer by Andrew Lowe.

Cross Trainer by Andrew Lowe, Carleton University School of Interaction Design, Ottawa, Canada.

The CrossTrainer Wheelchair is designed to allow for interchangeable front ends to enable disabled youth to play adaptive sports without the need for an additional wheelchair.

A unique camber adjustment enables changes to the angle and position of the wheels, thus exponentially increasing functionality.

The CrossTrainer has the ability to bridge the gap between daily use wheelchairs and the specialised equipment used to play adaptive sport.
