Fashion retailer Foschini have collaborated with African Fashion International to launch the Foschini AFI Fastrack competition.
Launched in 2011, the competition is aimed at creating a platform for talented young designers to kick start their careers in the fashion retail industry.
Fashion design students from design institution in both Cape Town and Johannesburg are given the opportunity to submit their best work to a panel of curators. The 12 best designers are then chosen to compete for a cash prize and internship, as well as the chance to develop a capsule collection.
