Drawing on ideas of regeneration and recreation, Issey Miyake has created a new label. “132 5 Issey Miyake” takes its cue from the previous “A Piece of Cloth” project, by Dai Fujiwara, with the store design by Japanese designer Tokujin Yoshioka.
The clothes in the range are presented on five transparent torsos that hang from the ceiling in the store. Interactive features are a key element of the store design. Each of the five torsos is complemented by a computer graphic image displaying the garment’s construction process on iPads throughout the store.
