Factory of hope

The Hope Factory makes unique corporate gifts while also creating a sustainable form of employment.

From the Series

The Hope Factory is an organisation that aims to empower previously unemployed South Africans to become self-reliant and productive. Students are trained in business, technical and life skills, and have the opportunity to gain practical experience so that they can become economically productive.

Assisted by enterprise development investments from various corporations, The Hope Factory has trained and developed the skills of more than 800 unemployed people. Some 76% of the Hope Factory graduates from the past five years are still financially independent.

The Hope Factory celebrate their 10-year anniversary this year and are excited to be exhibiting at Design Indaba Expo for the first time. They will be showcasing a wide range of beautiful, handmade corporate gifts and conference materials made by their graduates.

All products can be tailored to suit personal or corporate needs. More importantly, any products you purchase from the Hope Factory will create employment, empower people and uplift the community.

See the Hope Factory on stand 2003 at Design Indaba Expo from 25 to 27 February 2011.
