The latest solo exhibition by French brothers Ronan and Ewan Bouroullec showcase how flexible and elegant their work remains in changing environments.
For the first time in nearly ten years the Bouroullec brothers are holding a solo exhibition in the United States at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago. Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec: Bivouac is a mid-career exhibition showcasing work from 15 years of collaboration.
“Microarchitecture” best describes the work in this exhibition, as items are larger than furniture but smaller than architecture.
The Museum of Contemporary Art is enlivened and separated by Bouroullec’s work as pieces act as dividers around the museum. Their work further encloses items on show resulting in a whole and abundant exhibition.
Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec: Bivouac will be on display at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago until 20 November 2013.
