Carl Lamprecht interview by Marius vd Merwe

Marius van der Merwe and his FilmStudio's crew members express their own love of beauty and design in this short production. Inspired by designer Carl Lamprecht, a long-time friend of FilmStudio's producer Van der Merwe, they create an expression of the unpredictability of beauty. Understanding that design flows, that it is channeled, rather than created or uncreated, FilmStudio wanted to mirror the rawness of this process by presenting the designer’s love of water and nature.

This film was Van der Merwe's submission for the Design Indaba 2011 Film Crew selection. Van der Merwe specialises in sport and car shoots. He is the owner of FilmStudio and has a Master’s degree in engineering.
