Nicholas Coutts specialises in constructing clothing for men and women that expresses the diversity of modern Africa. His work is influenced by the Arts & Crafts Movement as well as the cultural melting pot of South Africa.
Coutts gained first-hand experience in the fashion industry through various internships. He has a strong curiosity of the technical side of fashion, having a keen eye for garment construction and the nitty gritty parts of the design process. He is interested in exploring all manner of textiles through his designs, including knitting, weaving and pattern-making.
