Alison Jackson is a fine artist. Besides showing her artwork in contemporary art galleries and museums, she also works in the medium of mass communication, such as TV programmes, films, advertising and books.
She was educated at the Royal College of Art in London where she received her masters in Fine Art Photography, before getting her BA (Hons) in Fine Art Sculpture at the Chelsea College of Art. She's been awarded the ICP Infinity Award for photography, the Best of the Best Award for photography on Schweppes, several gold and silver campaign awards and nominated for a BAFTA Award for Double Take (a BBC2 TV series).
Apart from her awards, she's lectured at the Royal College of Art and in a D&AD advertising workshops, among other distinguished institutions.
She has published two books – he 2003 PRIVATE Book of Photographs (Penguin) and the 2007 Confidential (Taschen). The 2001 Voyeur (Harper Collins) and the 2000 The Art of Barbie, for Elton John's Aid's foundation, also include her work.
