OneCourt

A haptic device to making live sports more accessible for visually impaired users.

An innovative haptic device enables visually impaired individuals to experience live sports through its sensory feedback. Designed by OneCourt, the laptop-sized device can be customized to match, court and venue specific layouts of different ball sports which then translates real-time game data into tactile sensations that represent the ball’s position and movement on the field or court. As the ball moves during a game, users can feel corresponding vibrations on the device, allowing them to follow the action through their fingertips.

The OneCourt device can be used at live sporting events or at home. In venues the device integrates with existing data infrastructures through WiFi/Data connectivity to provide immediate feedback. At home, users can pair the device with live broadcasts, synchronizing tactile feedback with commentary for a comprehensive experience.

OneCourt are collaborating with major sports leagues such as MLB, NBA, and NFL, conducting pilot programs aiming to make live sports more accessible to the visually impaired community nationwide.
