StandardShumba Inc. began life under unusual circumstances, when a young girl battling cancer stitched and beaded her hopes and dreams into felt designs. These designs were then sold to help pay for her treatment, which included a bone-marrow transplant.
From ward to world, the project grew into a social enterprise, embracing the concept of job creation, skills transfer and social upliftment.
