Speaking at AZA 2012 in Cape Town, Ghanaian architect Joe Osae-Addo highlighted the importance of an “architecture of ideas”. For him one of the continent’s challenges is that design is not on the development agenda. Osae-Addo believes that design skills should be used to develop opportunities with a sustainable impact.
