Model C

Jo’burg indie electro outfit Model C have been described as “a dirty and beautiful eight-bit soundtrack that crawls under your skin”. Made up of brother Kidu and sister Robyn Nesbitt, the design for the pair’s debut album, No More Songs for Girls, taps straight into their cyber nostalgia ethos, retro-fitted with high production values. A simple black-and-white, z-fold album cover is drawn through with a continuous line that links coyly dark illustrations by Jelena Jovanovic´. The music’s not bad either.
