Stefan Sagmeister’s design for David Byrne and Brian Eno’s Everything That Happens Will Happen Today takes album packaging to a uniquely tangible level. Inspired by the folksy, but not dark music, Sagmeister created a miniature suburban scene with idiosyncratic details – some seemingly innocuous (an oil stain on the driveway), some quite curious (an industrial-size air conditioning unit on the front lawn) and others more disturbing (a gasoline canteen in the kitchen). This special edition package includes the 3D diorama, light-activated sound effects, a 92-page lyrics mini-booklet, the music CD, a bonus DVD with enhanced content, and other surprises.
