French designer Inga Sempé has created a new range of luxurious Norwegian woolen blankets for the renowned Norwegian textile brand Røros Tweed.
Designed for renowned Norwegian textiles brand Røros Tweed, the two new blankets “Bernadette” and “Agnès” are made from 100 percent Norwegian weaved wool, selected from the brands own sheep.
Agnès features a contemporary checked pattern while Bernadette is a simpler design, comprising muted colors that are offset by a discreet grid motif.
Following the recent launch of Sempé's ‘Ruché' armchair for Ligne Roset, the blankets are proof of her versatility as a designer, who is best known for her work with design studios such as Cappellini and Edra.
Røros Tweed has been weaving high quality wool products since 1940, building on a local tradition that goes back centuries. Selected wool from Norwegian sheep and 100% Norwegian production, combined with collaboration with Scandinavia’s top designers and textile artists, has made Røros Tweed one of the most renowned wholly Norwegian quality brands.
