The Bouroullec Brothers, Ronan and Erwan, have teamed up with Alessi to create a range of tableware that remarks on the composition of every day life.
The “Ovale” collection is original while also striving to be rustic and traditional. It’s the delicate expression of day-to-day life where people get together to have breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Ovale marks the brothers’s entrance into the Alessi catalogue. The products are all rather thick-walled but still have a desirable elegance about them. Alberto Alessi, managing director of Alessi, describes it as “delicate, slightly expressive, simple, almost neo-primitive”.
