For their first show in the UK, Milan-based design duo Carnovsky presents “La Selva” or “RGB – The Black Series” at DreamBagsJaguarShoes in London.

For this show Francesco Rugi and Silvia Quintanilla use the RGB technique to create a “jungle” theme that explores the creatures and vegetation found in such environments by capturing it on wallpaper and limited-edition prints.

The RGB technique works by overlapping three primary colour images (red, green and blue), resulting in a detailed, multilayered print. By placing a red, green or blue coloured filter or a light, transparent material over the image allows it to reveal one of the colour levels. Each colour level relates to the other two levels but manages at the same time to reveal different statuses as the images go from being very clearly to partly hidden.

The exhibition will include a series that looks to evolution of the duo’s RGB project.
