In celebration of the lively local music scene and the immense talents of local artists and designers, 10and5 have started a poster project to showcase creative work in this genre.
The 2010 Poster Project is an exhibition featuring posters by 12 local creatives for some 14 local bands. Dubbed “Serenade your Walls”, the exhibition will feature works by Kronk, Alex Latimer, Lauren Fowler, FlySchool Design, Am I Collective and Arno Kruger, among others. Job Solario is a featured designer from Argentina whose poster will also be showcased.
Am I Collective’s studio is the location for the Cape Town leg of the exhibition on 1 August 2010. “Serenade your Walls” will be at Wolves in Jo’burg on 4 August 2010.
Jax Panik, Gazelle, Heuwels Fantasties, Van Coke Kartel and Desmond and the Tutus are just some of the bands for whom posters were designed.
