The Muko furniture series is designed with kids in mind

Today’s kids spend more and more time seated. These chairs are designed to ensure their comfort.

Lagos-born product designer Nifemi Marcus-Bello has released a furniture series designed for children who spend more and more time in classrooms. “The chair is designed to support children’s posture, allowing them to focus on work or play in-front of them,” explains Marcus-Bello.

Lightweight and durable, the Muko series allows the children to lift and move the furniture themselves. The chair is designed to be used beyond the classroom, as its weight allows for easy transportation and it can be easily tucked away when not in use.

“All dimensions used for the chair take into consideration anthropometric data gained from publications by the Human Factors and Ergonomics Laboratory, Cornell University,” adds the designer.

Marcus-Bello was previously featured for his Kofe Club Collection, a series of unique furniture pieces created to investigate the possibility of an affordable, readymade furniture collection designed for urban Nigerians.
