Mousey mouse

Like a small animal, Nendo's Oppopet wireless computer mouse sometimes wants to be taken for a walk.

The Oppopet is the latest project by Japanese designers Nendo.

A computer mouse for Elecom, the Oppopet is a wireless optical mouse where the USB receiver takes the shape of different animal tails.

For easy transportation the tail of the mouse can be plugged into the body, an action which Nendo compares to “picking up a small animal to go for a walk”.

When it’s being used the mouse takes on a simple, discrete shape with the tail plugging into the computer and casually extending itself, as though a small pet is hiding inside.
