Marinemine: The Mine Furniture is a range of rather masculine-looking furniture pieces. While these fireplaces, lamp holders, chairs and toilets might not be aesthetically pleasing in a conventional way, they do tell an interesting story.
Estonian sculptural artist Mati Karmin has found a creative way of recycling discarded cases of Russian mines. Karmin takes the weaponry that was once used in the Gulf of Finland by the heavily militarised Russian empire, and turns it into functional pieces for the home.
