"Holon" is the product of a collaboration between Dutch designers Jetske Visser and Michiel Martens. The intriguing glass sculpture is made of multiple micro-thin bowed glass strips that spin on a vertical rotating axis to create a curvilinear shape. The effect is that of a liquid bubble being blown in the wind as it is caught on branch.

As it spins, the sculpture’s shape is in constant transition. The sculpture is a result of an experiment with glass and the process of being able to adapt it into something new and unexpected.

"Holon" captures the glow and movement of refracting and reflecting light in its colour and form. Through its spinning motion the sculpture's various layers become a single, subtly moving solid whole.
