From the Series
The “Wandering Forest of Hermés” is a window display for the newly renovated Hermés boutiques in Japan.
Designed by Nendo, the window display becomes a focal point that encompasses a visual contradiction that becomes visible to passers-by as they move past the display.
Various objects have been placed between the “trees”, that are the main focus point in the window display. Some of the pieces go through the tress, or are segmented by them.
Nendo explains that the Wandering Forest of Hermés is their own interpretation of the Hermés’s “casual, almost tongue-in-cheek, playfulness”.
