At the forefront

Front reveal their expert craftsmanship in three of their most recent designs unveiled at Salone del Mobile 2014.

From the Series

Materiality, tradition, experimentation, research and customisation all come together in Front’s latest designs unveiled at Salone del Mobile 2014.

In collaboration with Italian furniture company Porro, the Swedish design trio designed a poetic oval mirror that celebrates their sixth year of collaboration with the company. With their visionary outlook, a delicate feminine touch and the capacity to envision new uses of the material, the designers knot its wooden frame to create a loop that resembles the symbol of infinity. A contemporary reinterpretation of the art of wood carving, Loop Mirror is a true wooden sculpture rendered unique by the small imperfections of handcrafting.

Front also partnered with Gebrüder Thonet Vienna, a furniture company blending tradition and innovation, to design the stylish Coat Rack and Bench. The project introduces visitors to a reinterpretation of materials with a poetic, yet innovative approach, which outlines the unique characteristics of the company.

The Arch Dining Table, also designed for Gebrüder Thonet Vienna, occupies a space with its elegant presence. The large table is characterised by a steam-bent beech wood frame, which combines the aesthetic of lightness with the strength of solid wood. The top consists of a panel of ash wood, available in two sizes, which makes it ideal for a dining room as well as for a cozier and more welcoming meeting room.

These designs were unveiled during the past 2014 Salone del Mobile in Milan, Italy.
