"Folio" is a new shelving system by the Bouroullec Brothers that uses a fabric adornment to hide objects. See it at Milan Design Week.

“Folio” is the name of a new shelving furniture range designed by the Bouroullec Brothers for Established & Sons, which can be seen at the Milan Design Week.

Folio introduces a new shelving typology that creates the possibility of simply hiding objects by moving a fabric adornment that runs along a discreet aluminium track.

The façade of this design is thus simple a striking wooden textile.

The brothers explain that they wanted to “produce a jacquard tapestry textile based on original sketches that were scanned, enlarged and manipulated to create an intended irregularity, with unusual graphic and a sensual, textured fabric”.
