Industrial design specialist and partner at PearsonLloyd, Luke Pearson is all about simplifying the world around us. Luke Pearson believes that innovative product design can help to solve many healthcare issues.
Design is a very interesting tool for which to study human behaviour, says Pearson.
Looking at the idea of innovation and how people interact with design on a daily basis, he talks about the “Design for Patient Dignity” project, a collaborative effort that used design to make the hospital experience more pleasant for patients. He also talks of simple design interventions that help to reduce the number of “superbugs” in hospitals.
