Professor Ricky Burdett of the London School of Economics and Politics talks about the book Living in the Endless City, which he co-edited.

He describes the need to understand the internal dynamics of rapidly expanding cities. According to him, the relationship between the physical shape of the city and the people who live in it needs to be designed and managed to ensure the long-term sustainability of the urban environment.
