Piet Hein Eek is the first designer ever to use scrapwood in domestic creations. Here he speaks about his inspirations and challenges as a designer.

Furniture designer Piet Hein Eek is interested in looking at materials often regarded as scraps. From these materials he then creates designs with an organic approach. Here he reveals some of his newest pieces showcased at Tom Dixon Studio during London Design Festival 2012. Eek believes that to function well as a designer you need to feel like a fish in water.
