Trevor Stuurman has cemented himself as a leading light in South Africa’s creative community. His breakthrough came in 2012 when he was named ELLE’s Style Reporter and he has been on the rise ever since.
Propelled by a strong sense of style and curiosity, Stuurman has been involved with diverse projects that have sculpted him into a well-rounded creative force. In addition to his fashion prowess, Stuurman earned his postgraduate honours degree in Motion Picture at AFDA. His interest in filmmaking led to him co-directing a documentary project that traced fellow fashion designer Laduma Ngxokolo’s own path in the business.
Stuurman’s undeniable talents have taken him as far as Pitti Imagine in Italy, where he was one of six panelists representing Africa at one of the world’s most prestigious men’s fashion forums. He is also a trend consultant for Woolworths.
His keen eye for fashion and savvy behind the camera has allowed Stuurman to make valuable contributions to several creative publications including Edgars Club Magazine, Glamour, Markham Digital Magazine and Grazia. Stuurman also styled Markham’s 2014 Winter fashion campaign.
