From her first works as a designer, Paula Feferbaum has shown a particular tendency towards transgression in fashion. Her clothes have always been on the edge of what's wearable, playing with provocation and sensualitv, as well as unusual fabrics and textures.
She moved from Brazil, where she had already worked as a designer for important fashion houses, to Barcelona 16 years ago. She first designed for local companies such as Custo Barcelona and Raquel Vega, then created her own brand, Paulinha Rio.
From the furious club wear of the first collections, created during the dawn of street fashion, her designs have become more versatile, following the designer's personal evolution. She admits to designing her clothes thinking of herself rather than of potential customers.
In 2000, she co-founded Clarity with her brother, Paulo Feferbaum. She is also the founder and manager of Circuit, a fashion, art and music event in Barcelona.
