John Pace

For a man who's been in advertising for 19 years, John Pace still has a surprisingly good head of hair. He started his career at Ogilvy & Mather in 1982, where he worked as an art director and later as a creative director. In 1996 he co-founded Bull Calvert Pace as creative partner.

Pace has done memorable work on Volkswagen, Audi, Ackermans, Dunlop, Woolworths, Carling Black Label and Syfrets; and won D&ADs, five gold and one grand prix Loeries, and the Sappi Designer of the Year Award in the process. Pace is also known for beautifying blank pages by drawing charcoal pigs on them. He has a passion for golf, and knows a lot about some dead guy named Beethoven.

In 2006 he founded design agency At Pace.
