El Ultimo Grito

El Ultimo Grito is a London-based post-disciplinary studio, who uses design to explore the social, political and philosophical nature of human relationships.

El Ultimo Grito was founded in 1997 by Roberto Feo and Rosario Hurtado. Rosario Hurtado studied economics at Alcala de Henares University in Madrid, before moving to London in 1989 where she studied cabinet making at the London College of Furniture and completed her BA in Industrial Design at Kingston University. Roberto Feo completed studies in Sociology and Social Anthropology at Complutense University in Madrid, before moving to London in 1990. He also studied furniture design at the London College of Furniture followed by an MA in Furniture Design at The Royal College of Art (RCA).

Both are committed to education and have taught at the RCA, Goldsmiths and Kingston Universities, and in 2012 were appointed to lead the Spaces & Communication Masters Programme at HEAD–Genève, the Geneva University of Art and Design.

El Ultimo Grito works across media and for a range of international commercial clients and institutions, their work is widely exhibited and is part of the permanent collections at the Victoria & Albert Museum (UK), MoMA, MAD (US) and the Stedelijk Museum (NL). They were awarded the London Design Medal 2012 for their significant contribution to design and London.
