Deirdre Renniers is an interior and environmental designer. Working closely with her team, she is responsible for management and creative leadership in her company, Deirdre Renniers Interior Design, which specialises in global interior and environmental design.
Renniers' career began following her interior design studies at the University of Johannesburg in 1988. After gaining experience in London, Renniers assisted in the establishment of Design House in Cape Town, whereafter she became Associate Director. In 1998, she set up her own practice and simultaneously consulted as Design Director for KSDP Pentagraph. Two years later, she relocated to Singapore to take up a position with renowned architect Kerry Hill, where she had the opportunity to work on multiple prestigious hospitality projects.
Renniers set up her own design studio in Singapore in 2001 and has since completed various hospitality, restaurant and residential projects. Renniers also collaborates with three leading branding companies on notable corporate projects such as Thai Airways International, RBA and The Singapore Exchange. She has recently sent up a second studio in Cape Town as well, where she is working on the procurement of hospitality and residential projects in the region.
Renniers’ creative experience in a variety of interior design disciplines, countries and cultures has enabled a philosophy of design integrity and cultural sensitivity. Her approach is multidisciplinary and covers all aspects of a project, from architecture and interior design to furniture, product, and graphic design, to ensure every touch-point is considered and execution is completed to the tee. Her focus is a holistic and simplistic design philosophy, with a passion for delivering an amazing yet meaningful customer experience.
