Watch with a twist

The Off-Axis Watch removes the need to bend one's elbow when looking at the time.

With the occasional exception, watch designs tend to be pretty standard. The face of the watch anyway, that’s why the Off-Axis Watch may be the most intelligent time piece ever.

Designed by Eric Janssen, the Off-Axis Watch doesn’t need the wearer to bend their elbow to see the time. The viewing axis of the dial has been rotated clockwise by 30 degrees, so the clock face is aligned to one’s head.

Stainless steel and polyurethane are the main materials comprising the watch. It’s water-resistant and has an estimated battery life of six years due to very low energy consumption.

The Off-Axis Watch could be particularly useful in social situations where bending one’s arm to look at the time could be somewhat inappropriate.
