I came across this while perusing one of my favourites and am just a bit stumped. You see I have always had this perception that concrete in a solidified form is rather heavy, even if it is in just small portions. So when I came across a range of concrete buckles by Icelandic designer Sruli Recht. It had me rather confused.
Surely wearing a buckle made of concrete with reclaimed steel as an attachment could have you pants straining to stay up? I could be wrong, but either way, this still seems somewhat impractical. You also get a belt made of horse’s leather. I’m not sure how strong horse’s leather is, but I’m pretty sure a concrete buckle is even too much for that kind of hide.
Take a look and decide for yourself.
