Heroines of fashion

Adam&Eve launched their Autumn/Winter 2014 collection at Design Indaba Expo 2014. Here's a look at the desirable garments shown on the fashion ramp.

From the Series

Adam&Eve’s design signature is to mix unexpected fabric, texture and colours in unconventional ways. This year at Design Indaba Expo, this particular design style shone through brighter than ever before as the Cape town-based fashion brand launched their Autumn/Winter 2014 collection at the Events Arena.

Adam&Eve aims to be a premier South African ready-to-wear brand. Its design aesthetic is based around structured prettiness with garments that project a sense of fun and quirk, while remaining sophisticated. 100% locally manufactured to the highest standards, Adam&Eve clothing is well-constructed and classically styled with clean lines and clever details.

For the Autumn/Winter collection Adam&Eve decided to fuse urban sportswear fabrics such as track suit material, quilting and leatherette with traditional menswear weaves including plaid, tartan and houndstooth.

The fashion brand has always placed a strong focus on the image of “a strong woman” and in this particular collection they express strength by drawing on 1940s heroines as their muse.

The Autumn/Winter 2014 collection aims to make South African fashion not only accessible but also desirable.
