Lookbook: Urban archaeology

Take a visual journey through the streets of Naples and the inspiration behind Harry Pearce's visual identity for the Made in Cloister project .

In this photo gallery, graphic designer Harry Pearce shares the inspiration behind his identity for the Made in Cloister initiative, an ambitious restoration programme of the cloister of the Church of Santa Caterina a Formiello in Naples. Completed in 1593, the church is considered to be among the finest examples of Renaissance architecture in the city, whose historic centre is a World Heritage Site.

Pearce, a partner at world-renowned design firm Pentagram, immersed himself in the city's fabric, ensuring he could produce a graphic representation of a place that is deeply rooted in its history. His photographs, taken around the city and inside the cloister, formed the raw material for his designs.
