Doleen is a largely paper and fabric based figure who like country and western music. Beneath her beret lies a light.A mixed-media figure with no head for numbers. She lights up from her base to reveal what lies beneath her belly.Fontanelle is a fountain of light made from laminated newsprint.

jenny.notyeti is still in its infancy. Its intention is to create and insert unique, if not idiosyncratic, labour-intensive, hand-crafted, functional objects into a market dominated by mass-produced commodities. In the interests of greening the planet, the pieces are largely fabricated from discarded objects, inexpensive and recycled materials. In most instances, their unadorned substructures are paper-based moulds, made from either laminated strips of newspaper or papier mache. Depending on the response to these items, it is this part of the production that will be given to women in need of an income, but who are unskilled and unable to leave their homes. The three works submitted for curation are examples of 3-D objects that function as lights. LED and energy-saving lighting have been used. Heights vary, from 1 720mm (the pink lady known as 'Priscilla') and 1 680mm (the white lady called 'Doleen') to 880mm (the baptismal-font-like bowl).
