Combining the terms “Durch” and “Zug”, meaning “By Zug”, designer Carmen Odermatt’s label refers to her hometown of Zug in Switzerland. DURCHZUG was founded in 2003 to take a piece of Africa to Europe, and has since grown into a label of sporty and elegant design, with a fun twist of wild Africa. The range consists of gorgeous leather handbags, all handmade in Cape Town by local manufacturers. Ninety percent of the materials for the 2011 collection of handbags was sourced and developed in collaboration with local tanneries.
Production Capacity:
