Born in Tokyo in 1972 and raised in Chigasaki, Manabu Mizuno studied graphic design at Tama Art University. After graduating in 1996, he joined the advertising company Pablo Production and then went on to join Draft Corporation where he worked in advertising and design. In 1999 he established “good design company”.

Michael Mack was born in Zimbabwe and moved to England in 1980 where he trained and worked as a lawyer. In 1989 he moved to Paris and then left law to study an arts MA. Now based in London, he is a freelance art director, editor, curator and writer.

As graphic designer, art director and curator Fabio Ongarato has gained an impressive reputation. Based in Melbourne, Australia, his graphic design firm, Fabio Ongarato Design, is renowned for the diversity of its work.

Jaco Janse van Rensburg graduated in 1991 from the University of Pretoria with a BA in information design. He went on to work for Graphicor, Pentagraph, DDB and, from 1997 to 1999, he was an art director for House and Leisure magazine.

Fernando Guitérrez is the designer and art director famed for his elegant, impactful graphic design of Benetton’s Colors magazine, Spanish magazine Matador and national newspaper El País.

Nicholas Blechman is the art director of the “Week in Review” section of the New York Times. He began working with the New York Times in 1997, and developed the “Op-Art” feature, a space for artists and cartoonists to contribute their own observations, independent of any article.

Richard Baker was born in Kingston, Jamaica. He completed studies in printmaking at the National Academy of Arts in New York, and at the school of visual arts he took classes in painting, filmmaking and editorial design. His first job was as a designer for the Boston Globe newspaper, working on the travel and living sections.
