Michael Mack was born in Zimbabwe and moved to England in 1980 where he trained and worked as a lawyer. In 1989 he moved to Paris and then left law to study an arts MA. Now based in London, he is a freelance art director, editor, curator and writer.

Muzi Kuzwayo was born in Paynville, near Springs. He started his schooling at Nolwandle Lower Primary School and finished at Kenneth Masekela High in KwaThema.

Marti Guixé

Born in 1964, Marti Guixé is a Catalonian designer living in Barcelona and Berlin. He graduated in interior design from Elisava in Barcelona in 1985 and studied industrial design at Scuola Polytecnica di Design di Milano in 1986.

Shigeru Ban

Shigeru Ban (born 1957 in Tokyo) is an accomplished Japanese and international architect, most famous for his innovative work with paper, particularly recycled cardboard paper tubes used to quickly and efficiently house disaster victims.
